Sumatinatha
सुमतिनाथ
Sumatinatha — “Lord of right intellect” — is the fifth Tirthankara, born in Ayodhya to King Meghaprabha and Queen Mangalā. The name sumati (good intellect) was given to him because, even as a child, he displayed remarkable wisdom in resolving disputes; one famous traditional story has him resolving a maternity dispute as a young prince. He renounced his kingdom; reached mokṣa at Mt. Sammed Shikhar.
