Abhinandananatha
अभिनन्दननाथ
Abhinandananatha — “the joy-giver” — is the fourth Tirthankara, born in Ayodhya to King Samvara and Queen Siddhartha. Tradition holds that his birth was attended with celebrations of unusual joy, even by celestial standards — hence the name.
His distinguishing iconographic feature is the monkey (kapi) lañchana — drawn from a story in his pre-Tirthankara births. He attained kevala-jnana under a priyangu tree; reached mokṣa at Mt. Sammed Shikhar.
