Padmaprabha

पद्मप्रभ

Padmaprabha — “the lotus-radiant” — is the sixth Tirthankara, born in Kausambi to King Dharaṇa and Queen Susīmā. Distinguished from the golden-complexioned Tirthankaras, his complexion is traditionally described as red — like the petal of a red lotus, hence the name. The lotus-iconography on his pedestal extends this. He attained kevala-jnana under a chatraka tree; reached mokṣa at Mt. Sammed Shikhar.
