Pushpadanta (Suvidhinatha)
पुष्पदन्त (सुविधिनाथ)
Pushpadanta — also called Suvidhinatha (“Lord of right conduct”) — is the ninth Tirthankara, born in Kākandī to King Sugrīva and Queen Rāmā. The name pushpadanta (“flower-toothed”) refers to a tradition that his teeth were as beautiful as flowers. The alternative name Suvidhinatha highlights his role in clarifying conduct.
White-complexioned. Lañchana is the makara (a mythological crocodile-like creature). Mokṣa at Mt. Sammed Shikhar.
