Shitalanatha
शीतलनाथ
Shitalanatha — “the cool one” — is the tenth Tirthankara, born in Bhaddilapura to King Dṛḍharatha and Queen Sunandā. Tradition holds that his presence cooled fevers and calmed agitated minds — both his name and several stories about him reflect this. Shitala (cool, calm) carries connotations of relief from suffering.
His lañchana is the śrīvatsa — an auspicious mark also seen on the chest of Vishnu in Hindu iconography. Mokṣa at Mt. Sammed Shikhar.
