Ayodhya is the birthplace of five Tirthankaras: Rishabhanatha (1st), Ajitanatha (2nd), Abhinandanatha (4th), Sumatinatha (5th), and Anantanatha (14th). The Jain temples in Ayodhya mark the kalyanak sites of Bhagavan Adinath in particular. Of the four Kshetras associated with Rishabhanatha (birth, renunciation, omniscience, moksha), Ayodhya covers the first three; only the moksha was at Ashtapad.
