मत्वेति नाथ! तव संस्तवनं मयेद-
मारभ्यते तनु-धियापि तव प्रभावात्।
चेतो हरिष्यति सतां नलिनी-दलेषु
मुक्ता-फल-द्युतिमुपैति ननूद-बिन्दुः॥८॥
matvet-i nātha! tava saṁstavanaṁ mayedam-
ārabhyate tanu-dhiyāpi tava prabhāvāt
ceto hariṣyati satāṁ nalinī-daleṣu
muktā-phala-dyutim-upaiti nan-ūda-binduḥ

हे प्रभु! ऐसा जानकर मैं — अल्प बुद्धि वाला होते हुए भी — आपके ही प्रभाव से, आपकी इस स्तुति को आरम्भ करता हूँ। यह सज्जनों के मन को अवश्य आकर्षित करेगी — क्योंकि कमल के पत्ते पर पड़ी पानी की एक बूँद भी मोती की कान्ति प्राप्त कर लेती है।
O Lord! Knowing this, I — though of small intellect — undertake Your praise, by Your power alone. It will surely captivate the hearts of the good. For even a drop of water, falling on a lotus leaf, takes on the lustre of a pearl.
