pāpaṁ kṣaṇāt kṣayam-upaiti śarīra-bhājām

sūryāṁśu-bhinnam-iva śārvaram-andhakāram

जैसे रात भर का अंधकार — चाहे कितना भी गहरा हो, चाहे पूरे लोक में फैला हो — सूरज की किरणों से एक क्षण में नष्ट हो जाता है, उसी प्रकार आपकी स्तुति से जीवों के अनेक जन्मों का संचित पाप क्षण भर में नष्ट हो जाता है।


Just as the deep darkness of the whole night — however thick, however widespread — is destroyed in a moment by the rays of the sun, so the sin accumulated across many births is dispelled in a moment by Your praise.
