tvām-āmananti munayaḥ paramaṁ pumāṁsam
āditya-varṇam-amalaṁ tamasaḥ parastāt
tvām-eva samyag-upalabhya jayanti mṛtyuṁ
nānyaḥ śivaḥ śiva-padasya munīndra! panthāḥ

Simple Meaning · सरल अर्थ

मुनिजन आपको ही परम पुरुष मानते हैं — सूर्य के समान वर्ण वाले, निर्मल, अन्धकार से परे। जो आपको ही सम्यक्तया जान लेते हैं, वे मृत्यु को जीत लेते हैं। हे मुनीन्द्र! शिव-पद (मोक्ष) तक का इसके अतिरिक्त कोई कल्याणकारी मार्ग नहीं है।


The sages know You as the supreme Person — sun-coloured, stainless, beyond darkness. Those who truly recognize You alone conquer death. O Lord of sages, there is no other auspicious path to the auspicious state (moksha).
