Dharmanatha

धर्मनाथ

Dharmanatha — “the lord of dharma” — is the fifteenth Tirthankara, born in Ratnapuri to King Bhānu and Queen Suvratā. The name dharma — the path, the right teaching, the way things are — is foundational in Jain (and broader Indian) thought.

His lañchana is the vajra — the diamond-thunderbolt — an ancient symbol of indestructibility shared with several Indian iconographic traditions. Mokṣa at Mt. Sammed Shikhar.
