Where Mahavira attained moksha in 527 BCE. The Jal Mandir — a temple in the middle of a lotus pond — marks the site.

Pavapuri is the site of Bhagavan Mahavira's nirvana. The Jal Mandir (Water Temple) stands in the middle of a large lotus pond and is the central shrine. Tradition holds that after the moksha, the devas gathered such that the earth was levelled by their tears, leaving the pond. The Samavasarana site nearby is also part of the pilgrimage.
